It’s safe to say that Swipe Pages is a certified AppSumo success story. How did they do it? We spoke with founder Swami to find out.
First things first: what is Swipe Pages?
Swipe Pages is a landing page builder that helps marketers build high-converting, mobile-friendly landing pages without any code.
Without any code, you say? Music to the ears of busy entrepreneurs.
Swipe Pages is built for ROI-driven marketers and uses AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) to deliver lower bounce rates and better conversions. Pre-designed templates and fully responsive landing pages mean you’ll spend less time building your site and more time running your business. What a concept!
The team’s AppSumo launch goals
Swipe Pages’ primary objectives were generating buzz for their product and scaling globally. The team also saw the opportunity to raise seed capital for the company through their launch without diluting equity in the company as an incredibly attractive proposition.
Sell on the leading digital marketplace for entrepreneurs
With AppSumo, you don’t have to be a marketing pro to boost your sales and connect with excited new customers. Focus on building the best product you can. Let us be your engine for growth.
Preparation and pre-launch
Prior to launching on AppSumo, the team used feedback from Beta-lings (more on our Beta-ling program here) to improve their product and create an even more refined and polished version of Swipe Pages.
Swami and his team also prepared for scale by improving documentation and video tutorials as well as strengthening their cloud infrastructure to accommodate increased user volume.
Now let’s talk launch!
Swami still remembers the day Swipe Pages launched: “Our team was pumped up, excited, and nervous all at once. And while we anticipated a surge in our server use as well as support load, we never could have prepared for the kind of success we had.”
Suffice to say, the response was overwhelming. Here are some metrics that capture the monumental launch:
Support conversations
The team had such an influx of users that everyone had to pitch in to help with customer support.
Facebook group members
Swipe Pages didn’t even have a Facebook group before they launched on AppSumo. Now, they have over 1,200 members.
Overall user increases
The team saw massive increases in users, new users, sessions, and more across the board after launching on AppSumo.
Despite the long nights and nonstop pace throughout their 40-day campaign, the constant flow of 5-taco reviews kept the Swipe Pages team going. To quote Swami, “I have to credit my whole team here—a small team of highly motivated individuals can move mountains.”
Community feedback
AppSumo’s community of Sumo-lings played a big role in helping identify key product features that will help Swipe Pages differentiate themselves in a crowded market.
Having dealt with a real-world stress test from thousands of active users, they were able to identify issues quickly that might have otherwise taken a long time. Swipe Pages is now more stable, secure, and scalable as a result.
Drumroll, please… the big results
Overall, Swipe Pages saw incredible results after launching on AppSumo. Most notably, traffic has increased exponentially and MRR has been growing at 50% MoM for the last three months since the campaign ended.
Swami says, “Most incredibly, we haven’t spent any resources on advertising and are still getting about 20 new trials on Swipe Pages per day. Our increased revenue, new users, site traffic, and community made every sleepless night worth it.”

Was it worth it? And what’s next for Swipe Pages?
For the folks at Swipe Pages, launching on AppSumo was a terrific experience, and one that was highly rewarding. Swami and his team couldn’t have done it without everyone at AppSumo—“they are geniuses.” (His words, not ours!)
With a successful launch under their belt, Swipe Pages is building out its team by adding more developers and marketers. The goal is to acquire more customers and scale their recurring revenue—the team has a big vision, and they’re working on new products and features to achieve it.
Advice for potential partners
If you’re a founder thinking about launching on AppSumo, here’s what Swami had to say:
If you’re a startup, then AppSumo is probably the best place to launch your product. There is very little to lose and so much to gain: thousands of paying customers, valuable feedback, early fans, word of mouth buzz, and capital without equity dilution. What more could you ask for?
